Top 10 Photos of 2009
The past year was insane at work. The first five months were filled with work on G-Force, 10-12 hours a day, six days a week. After G-Force, I took a two week vacation and then jumped right into working on Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. I have been working 12 hour days, six days a week on Alice since September. All this work left me little time to shoot. I shot about half the amount that I did last year, and shot more spur of the moment type things rather than planning shoots.
Here are my top 10 photos of the year, in chronological order:

A friend asked me to shoot his Porsche 996 Turbo.

The Hollywood Sumer Tour – A group of young dancers who come to LA to learn how to be a professional dancer in Hollywood.

Pinar Eris – Winter Collection. I was shooting some catalog images and wanted to do some shots for myself as well.

From a band shoot for The Swellers who are big fans of Venture Brothers. I later shot them on tour with Paramore and Paper Route (pics here).

A shot of my brother from the same day as The Swellers shoot.
At the LA Zoo.
My friend Aaron at MotorSportLens.com took me to shoot some racing. It was a big learning experience.
What a way to end the year. One of the dancers from The Hollywood Summer Tour that I shot the previous year was in LA and I asked her to shoot. I was thinking some studio dance shots would be nice, but she wanted to do something sexy on the beach. Not a problem. More from this shoot here.
